Dr. Zina Affas Besse has been investing in and operating healthcare companies for twenty-five years. She joined AXA IM Alts as Deputy Head of Healthcare Private Equity in 2022 after advising AXA IM Alts since April 2020. Zina has been serving as Board Member for companies including Eyenuk, Biolinq, Axena Health and Alydia Health. Bridget leads on Climate and Nature for the UK firm, helping clients understand the physical and transition risks and opportunities that they will face under various climate change and nature scenarios, the impact of these risks on their operations and the strategy they need to put in place to mitigate these risks as well as to take advantage of any opportunities arising. Bridget has over 15 years’ experience in climate change, nature and decarbonization, spanning a variety of private and public sector roles including banking, Government advisory and strategic consulting. Bridget has significant experience across the asset management sector supporting a range of large global asset managers to define their firm, fund and investment strategies on sustainability, connecting their approach to value and delivering on the significant opportunities presented by the transition to a low carbon and nature positive world.
Paola Bellotti has been working in the “alternative finance” sector for 20 years. After her university experience in the US (University of Washington, Seattle, 1999, 2001), she worked in the microfinance sector for 10 years, working in both government (FAO) and NGO sectors, mostly dedicated to projects supporting small and microentrepreneurs in accessing adequate financial instruments. She worked in various microfinance-supporting regions, mostly in Latin America and South-East Asia. Following this experience, she joined the cooperative movement where she continued to work in the sector of access to finance for SMEs, including capacity building on financial literacy and financial planning. In the past 5 years she started looking at social and environmental impact of SMEs in terms of management and measurement. For this purpose, she graduated at LSE in 2019 with an Executive MSc in Social Business and Entrepreneurship.

Elizabeth Boggs Davidsen is a Senior Executive, advisor, and expert in social innovation and impact investing with the strategic vision to create and deliver financing and business models that produce sustainable, scalable business development. Currently, she is a political appointee with the Biden Administration and the Vice President of Development Policy at the U.S International Development Finance Corporation (DFC). She is responsible for ensuring that all DFC projects have measurable development impact and are environmentally and socially sustainable. She also oversees DFC’s technical assistance portfolio. Prior to her work at DFC, Elizabeth was the Director of SDG Impact, a flagship UNDP initiative focused on mobilizing private sector capital in support of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Yahya Bouhlel, 25, started developing technology products by himself at the age of 13 and was recruited by a Silicon Valley startup Make School at the age of 16 for summer internships to learn, make & teach iOS games. Amit Bouri is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of the GIIN, where he leads the largest global community of impact investors dedicated to increasing the scale and effectiveness of impact investing. Amit co-founded the GIIN in 2009, following the launch of the Monitor Institute’s, Investing for Social and Environmental Impact, a landmark report, which he helped to conceive and develop. His work would eventually lead to the growth of a global network around the concept of impact investing and provide a blueprint that would seed the GIIN’s creation. Jen Braswell joined EQT Partners in September 2022 as Head of Impact for Private Capital based in London, UK. Prior to joining EQT Partners, Jen was Head of Value Creation in the Impact Group at British International Investment (formerly CDC Group), where she was part of building the impact management framework for the business, including overseeing expert teams on climate change, gender & diversity finance and job quality to drive value creation through an impact lens across the portfolio. Antony Bugg-Levine is a Managing Director and Co-Head of Community Impact at Lafayette Square, an impact investing platform, with a focus on developing partnerships and impactful services that drive change for communities served by the firm. Antony is a pioneer within the modern impact investing movement, with over 25 years of industry experience. He most recently spent 10 years as CEO of Nonprofit Finance Fund, a national nonprofit and financial intermediary dedicated to mobilizing and deploying resources effectively to build a just and vibrant society. In this role, Mr. Bugg-Levine helped grow the organization to manage $300 million in assets and run a national consulting practice, and worked with a range of philanthropic, private sector and government partners to develop and implement innovative approaches to financing social change. Jonathan Dean Head of Impact Private Equity Fund Management, AXA IM Alts Jonathan is Head of Fund Management at AXA IM Alts across the Impact Investing and purpose-driven private equity platform. He leads the platform which covers multiple impact themes including: Global Health, Financial Inclusion, Climate Innovation and Nature-Based Solutions. Petrica Dulgheru is a founding member of REDI, a network of non-profit organizations and for-profit aggregator companies that work to promote social inclusion and combat discrimination. A chemist with a background in academia and a wealth of experience in both the private and non-profit sectors, Petrica has a proven track record of success in launching and managing social enterprise startups that support marginalized individuals in finding employment. He holds a B.Sc. from the University of Bucharest, a Ph.D. from University College Dublin, and is currently completing his MBA in Vienna. Elvira Eurlings is the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of ILX, heading the investment and sustainability team and being responsible for the investments that are being made by ILX. She has extensive experience in public and development finance during her 25-year working career. Before joining ILX, Elvira was the Agent (Director) of the Dutch State Treasury Agency (DSTA) within the Ministry of Finance in the Netherlands. In this role, she was responsible for the funding and management of the State’s overall debt. Prior to this appointment, she worked at FMO, the Dutch Development Bank where, amongst various roles, she was Chair of the investment committee and Director of the Energy Department. Elvira also held various roles within the International Departments at the Ministry of Finance and worked at the International Monetary Fund in Washington. Elvira holds an MSc in International Economic Relations (with honors) from Tilburg University in the Netherlands.
Following upbringing in Germany and UK, Johannes joined the German army, then studied at Universities of Munich (Germany) and Bordeaux (France) obtaining an MSc in Economics. He started his career at the EU Commission, then rejoined the German defence establishment, then became Assistant Lecturer at University of Munich and obtained a PhD. In 1999 he joined KfW Development Bank. In the following 20 years, Johannes served as Resident Director in Kosovo and Serbia, Vice President European FIs, Vice President Corporate Strategy. Since 2015 he was Head of KfW's equity and funds team. In 2020 Johannes launched his own company, JF Investment Advisory, supporting clients in the public (DFIs, International Organizations) and private / corporate impact space. He joined MikroKapital as CEO in autumn 2022, and is refocussing MikroKapital's activities on Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and on new partnerships with private and public investors in microfinance, leasing and the sharing economy.
Eliza joined Temasek in Singapore in 2018 and is currently serving as Director, Impact Investing. She believes in channelling capital to uplift communities and protect the environment so that every generation prospers. Eliza has also worked as a private equity, impact investor in renewable energy/sustainability and investment banking professional with firms including Carlyle Asia Partners, Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs with a focus on Asia. Di Fu is Vice President at Temasek’s Impact Investing team, based in Singapore. She focuses on fund and direct investments across global emerging markets that aim to generate positive long-term social and environmental impact for the underserved. Prior to Temasek, she spent 5 years investing in PE & VC funds across South Asia and Africa at British International Investment (formerly known as CDC Group), UK's development finance institution. Di started her career as a macroeconomist covering Latin America at Credit Suisse. She obtained her M.A. in International Development from Sciences Po, Paris and her Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics with minors in Economics and Hispanic Studies from Columbia University.
Adam Gibbon is Natural Capital Lead in the Impact Investing team at AXA IM Alts, leading on their $500m investment strategy. Adam has spent his career designing and implementing solutions to climate change and biodiversity loss. In 2008 He pioneered the development of the voluntary carbon market, as a developer and auditor with the Rainforest Alliance where he was also developer climate smart forestry and agriculture projects. As a manager with PwC he advised corporate and government clients on climate and landuse strategies and transactions. For the last decade he has been investing private equity and project finance into nature-based solutions to climate change, first as CTO and Investment Director at a leading investment platform before joining AXA.

She has over 15 years’ experience in management consulting working to drive private sector growth and social impact. She has played a key role raising the > USD 420 million that Open Capital has mobilized for women and gender smart businesses in SSA. Prior to Open Capital, Nathalie was an Associate Partner with Sahel Consulting. Prior to that, Nathalie worked with Monitor Deloitte, advising various US Fortune 500 companies and donor agencies. He has been instrumental in building the team, strategic partnerships & raising funds at Ecozen. He is an Unreasonable Impact Fellow. It is under his leadership that the company has been recognized with numerous awards such as the “CII award for Innovation in Cold Chain 2017”, FedEx Small Business Grant 2018, Rabo Food Loss Challenge 2018. He was chosen also amongst the “50 Most Influential Sustainability Leaders 2017” and named a “Bloomberg New Economy Catalyst in 2022”. Marianne Haahr currently works with TNFD as lead sector guidance for the agriculture, forestry fishing and aquaculture sectors. Prior to these roles, she served as Executive Director of the Green Digital Finance Alliance, a not-for-profit foundation working on scaling green finance with digital technologies, co-founded by UNEP. Marianne has served on the TNFD Informal Technical Expert Group and she has developed input papers for the G-20 Sustainable Finance Working Group on sustainable digital finance and for the UN SG’s Task Force for fintech and SDG’s. Marianne holds an MSc from Copenhagen University.

He is also the Managing Director at Evalysis, which works with boards and management teams to clarify their impact aspirations and strategies; align their measurement and management approaches; and navigate the complexity of data and decisions. Karim has made influential contributions to advance knowledge and practice in social impact measurement and impact investing. He has published on industry trends and innovative practices; supported field-building initiatives to promote the value and integrity of impact measurement; and designed education and training programs across established and emerging markets.

Tanja is a founder of Clarmondial, which creates value by proactively designing and implementing investment solutions within the natural resource management sectors. Tanja has over 20 years of experience in environmental finance, including climate finance. Before joining DPI, Ashley was a Partner focused on the Africa region with Accion Venture Lab, Accion’s venture arm focused on fintech for the underserved. Ashley has 15 years of experience across financial services, investments, and social ventures, and has dedicated her time to investing in and scaling social ventures across sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia. Prior to joining Accion Venture Lab, Ashley worked as an investment consultant and early-stage venture accelerator manager with LGT Venture Philanthropy in Thailand and Uganda. Ashley also brings experience from her time in the institutional asset management arms of Goldman Sachs and Vanguard. Ramona Liberoff is the Executive Director of the Platform for Accelerating the Circular Economy. Her background includes being part of several impact start-up teams, an active angel investor also involved in promoting diversity in early stage investing, and as a corporate investor as the former COO of the Innogy Innovation Hub, a 100 million euro fund investing in the future of the energy system. At PACE, her work focuses on taking knowledge into action, particularly around the case for a circular economy in critical minerals and recapturing resources for circular food production, and this includes advocating for greater impact investment and blended finance into circularity solutions in key production systems such as food and energy, and integrating the consideration of carbon and circularity measures. Ramona holds masters degrees from Yale University (US) and the London School of Economics and currently resides in The Hague.
Alessandro Maffioli is Managing Director for Development Effectiveness Division at IDB Invest. He oversees the organization’s Impact Management Framework, which includes a series of tools to measure and manage the development impact of investments from beginning to end. During his 19 years of experience at the IDB Group, Alessandro has coordinated impact evaluations of projects in areas including agricultural development, science and technology, small and medium-sized enterprise productivity, and access to credit. Prior to joining the IDB Group in 2004, Alessandro spent five years at the Research Center for Latin American Studies and Transition Economies of Bocconi University, where he focused his research on the economics of innovation and regional economics. Alessandro holds a PhD in Production and Development Economics from the University of Insubria, Italy.
Brunno Maradei is the Global Head of Responsible Investment at Aegon Asset Management, managing a team of 21 ESG specialists conducting sustainability research, engagement, voting and policy advice. He chairs Aegon AM’s Sustainability Board and is a member of ESMA’s Consultation Working Group on Sustainability. Prior to this role he structured finance for infrastructure projects in Africa at the European Investment Bank. Brunno has worked in the finance industry for over 20 years, starting in Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan in London. Brunno has led a pioneer ESG research provider, developed sustainable investment products for emerging markets and structured blended finance for donors at leading institutions including the International Finance Corporation and the European Commission. Brunno is a CFA charterholder, holds an MBA from London Business School and a BSc (Econ) from the London School of Economics.
Jamie Martin, Head of Morgan Stanley’s EMEA Sustainability Office based in London, is responsible for coordinating Morgan Stanley’s sustainability strategy in Europe, Middle East and Africa by collaborating across the Firm’s Institutional Securities and Investment Management businesses to deliver innovative sustainable investing solutions, tools and insights to regional clients and external stakeholders. Jamie joined the Global Sustainability Office in 2013. He is a member of the UK Finance Sustainability Committee and is a former representative on the Executive Committee of The Green Bond Principles and B Lab’s Multinational and Public Markets Advisory Council. Jamie started his career at Citigroup, working in the firm’s Global Investment Research division. He graduated from Colgate University with a B.A. and received an M.B.A. after studying at HEC Paris and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.

She has over 25 years experience working on environmental markets in emerging and developed markets. Previously, she managed the Packard Foundation’s Climate and Land Use program and worked with the Foundation’s mission investing team on program related investments in the climate and land use sectors. Immediately before that she helped establish the American Carbon Registry’s participation in California’s cap & trade program. Belinda grew up in Zimbabwe and has lived and worked in Indonesia, Kenya and the US. She holds an M.S. in environmental economics and is passionate about shifting food and fiber production to regenerative and sustainable systems that preserve environmental integrity while supporting local communities.

Kevin joined IFC in 2002 in Sub-Saharan Africa, where he worked on manufacturing and services projects. He later joined the Financial Institutions Group where he led investments across Latin America, Europe & Central Asia. He subsequently led IFC’s private equity activities in Africa and the Middle East. He was thereafter appointed as IFC’s Director for Southern Africa. Kevin, a Kenyan national, holds an MBA from Wits Business School, South Africa.
Amanda Nunnink is co-head of Impact Housing at Kayne Anderson Real Estate. She is responsible for sourcing, analysis, underwriting and execution of investment strategies and working with partners to oversee management of Kayne Anderson's multifamily investments. Prior to joining Kayne Anderson, she spent 10 years at Freddie Mac, holding leadership positions across multiple business lines. Most recently, she led a team dedicated to Equity in Multifamily Housing, creating loan and structured products to generate sustainable improvements for renters and the rental housing industry. In her time at Freddie Mac, she was also head of the Multifamily Investor Relations team, supporting the sale of $75B in securities annually. Previously she worked at LeapFrog Investments in the Impact team, and later working in Investor Relations. She started her career at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in equity research sales and sovereign credit strategy. Oyin has a MSc in Economics from SOAS (University of London) and a BA in economics from the University of Cambridge. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Titilola Olaolu-Hassan the COO and co-founder of Zuri Health, a virtual hospital which provides high-quality, affordable healthcare services across Sub-Saharan Africa. Before Zuri Health, Titilola worked for MTech Communications, Oando and Navgas, where she supported women in adopting cleaner cooking fuels, thereby reducing the incidence of respiratory diseases and deaths. Titilola was recently recognized by both VivaTech’s Female Founders Challenge and the Lagos State Government Health Service Commission for her support for maternal and neonatal health. With more than 18 years of experience in sales, strategy, and product management, Titilola has a proven track record in driving business growth, business expansion and optimization.
Veronica Olazabal is Chief Impact and Evaluation Officer at The BHP Foundation, Past President of the American Evaluation Association (AEA) and teaches at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. Her professional background ranges ~20 years and six continents and includes designing, implementing and leading global programs, research and evaluation for The Rockefeller and MasterCard Foundations. Veronica has served on various funding and advisory boards including most recently with The World Benchmarking Alliance and the World Bank's Center for Learning on Evaluation and Results (CLEAR). She is the recipient of several industry awards and has published in the American Journal of Evaluation, Foundation Review, Stanford Social Innovations Review and the Global Handbook of Impact Investing.
William Orum is a Partner and member of the Investment Team. He serves on the investment committee for all Capricorn strategies and has responsibility for co-leading the investment management of individual client portfolios as well as the Sustainable Investors Fund. He joined the firm in 2004. Prior to Capricorn, William was an investment banker with Merrill Lynch in their global industries group, focused on corporate finance and M&A advisory. William received a B.A. from Amherst College and an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business.
Jennifer Pryce is President and CEO of Calvert Impact, a global nonprofit investment firm. Under her leadership the organization has tripled the size of its flagship product, broadened the organization’s mission to focus on equitable climate solutions and expanded the corporate structure to support the development of new products and services. This work has led to the launch of new financial products - Cut Carbon Note, an asset-backed security driving building decarbonization, and Mission Driven Bank Fund, a growth fund focused on addressing the racial wealth gap - established Climate United, a consortium applying for the $14BN National Clean Investment Fund and vehicles to direct over $500MM of capital to small businesses with a design to scale. She is a lecturer at Oxford Saïd School of Business, a board member of UNICEFUSA Impact Fund for Children and an Advisory Board member of Ecofin and the Operating Principles for Impact Management.
Louise Quy, Managing Director, Chemonics UK Louise brings more than 20 years of experience working in international trade and development, banking, and professional services to her role as a passionate and strategic leader. As managing director of Chemonics UK, Louise provides strategic vision, leadership, commercial acumen, and management to a diverse portfolio of international programmes. Vikram Raju is a Managing Director and serves as Head of the 1GT Platform and Head of Climate Investing for the Private Credit & Equity division of Morgan Stanley Investment Management (Morgan Stanley IM). Prior to joining Morgan Stanley IM to set up the impact investing platform in 2014, Vikram was the Climate Funds Lead at the IFC/World Bank Group. Previously, he was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company and a portfolio manager with Lazard Frères. Vikram is a past Chair of the Impact Council at the Global Private Capital Association and is currently an adjunct faculty member with the Department of Food and Resource Economics at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. Vikram received Masters degrees in Finance and International Affairs from Bombay and Columbia University, respectively. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Ulrika Robertsson is an Impact Investment entrepreneur with 20+ years of international Capital Markets, Quantitative Trading and Alternative Investments experience. Ms. Robertsson is a founding partner of Impactus Partners, a Private Investment office and Placement Agency for Alternative Investments. Impactus aims to generate positive environmental and social impact through capital allocation, and serves a curated network of fund managers seeking to raise capital from institutional asset owners. Ms. Robertsson’s primary professional interests sit in climate solutions and energy transition. Additionally, she is an outcomes-oriented leader in the movement toward gender equality in the financial services industry, prioritising systems change to drive capital allocation to female fund managers. Ms. Robertsson was appointed to the Board of Directors of 100 Women in Finance in 2022. Prior to her appointment to the Board, she chaired the organisation’s Global FundWomen Week conference. Foundational years of her career were spent at Goldman Sachs and UBS.
Alexander heads the IF office in Helsinki. He joined UNICEF in 2021, seconded from Government of Sweden. After 10+ years in the banking sector, working as corporate advisor and investment banker, in the Swedish bank SEB, he left the financing for profit sector and joined SIDA’s guarantee unit in Stockholm in 2014, using his business skills to tailor de-risked financing for development projects in OECD DAC countries. He also has field experience, working for UNHCR in Kenya for two years and one year in Geneva, implementing the CRRF, with Kenya as one of the first pilot countries, looking at refugee situations as an opportunity to empower displaced and host populations, and to strengthen public services. With his multisectoral thinking, he has succeeded to identify win-win solutions, mobilizing above USD 1Bn to various development challenges, with especial emphasis on FCVs. Alexander holds a master’s in mathematics and a Bachelor in Economics.
Christopher Rowe is responsible for leading the Church Pension Fund’s (CPF) socially responsible investment strategy, with a particular focus on external engagement and outreach. He works to build relationships with companies in which CPF invests, peer organizations, the Episcopal Church and other stakeholders with similar values. Additionally, he oversees various aspects of administration for the Investment group. Prior to CPF, Christopher was Chief of Staff to the CEO of PGIM, Prudential Financial’s asset management business where he was responsible for wide ranging activities including business administration, external relations, and sustainability. Earlier in his career he worked directly with institutions and faith based investors on strategies for integrating values with investments. He received a BA in Economics from Haverford College and an MBA in Finance from New York University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Karen is a co-founder and the Executive Director of the Ocean Risk and Resilience Action Alliance. She has worked on ocean conservation, law and policy for three decades. She was previously CEO of Ocean Unite, co-founded with Sir Richard Branson and José María Figueres, spearheading work on 30x30. Before that, she had roles as Senior Director for International Oceans at The Pew Charitable Trusts and Head of Greenpeace International’s Political & Business Unit as well as its Ocean campaign. She has spearheaded global campaigns to secure a new high seas biodiversity treaty, establish large marine reserves, reform the EU’s Common Fisheries Policy, end illegal fishing and high seas bottom trawling, and drive political and policy action to protect marine species. She initiated the Global Ocean Commission. Karen has master’s degrees in international environmental law and international political economy. She originates from South Africa and lives in the United States.
Kristin Sadler is Manager of Platform & Impact at Quona, and has been with the firm since 2018. Kristin leads Quona's impact measurement and management (IMM) strategy, including how the firm defines, measures, and reports on the impact of its portfolio. Kristin also heads Quona's platform strategy, which is focused on adding value to the firm's portfolio leaders through fintech programming and community building. Prior to Quona, Kristin worked with Techstars’ inaugural impact-focused accelerator program to provide hands-on support to early-stage companies focused on global social and environmental impact. She also spent 3 years managing membership services InterAction, an association of almost 200 non-profit organizations working in international development. Kristin holds an MBA from The University of Cape Town's Graduate School of Business, where she developed a passion for financial inclusion, and a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Originally from India, Dimple is an experienced investment professional with over 20 years of experience in impact investing, investment banking and venture capital. At Anthos, she is responsible for originating investments, managing relationships, and helping to execute strategies for the fund portfolios dedicated to impact investing across all asset classes including private, listed and real assets. Dimple also serves on the Investment Committee of the Nathan Cummings Foundation. In 2021, she was recognised in PEI's (Private Equity International) global list as one of the 10 most influential women investing across asset classes. In 2022, she was in the top 50 list of women in Netherlands that work in Sustainable Finance. Dimple holds an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School and a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago. She is based in Amsterdam and she speaks English, Hindi and Dutch.
Asif Saleh is the Executive Director of BRAC. He brings a multi-sectoral experience in senior leadership roles in private, public, and non-government arenas, with a proven track record of effectively managing development programming, operational and financial sustainability, and building effective partnerships, both within and outside BRAC. Prior to joining BRAC, he was a policy specialist for the Prime Minister’s Office’s Access to Information (A2i) programme. He spent 12 years in Goldman Sachs, ending his term as Executive Director. He has also worked in Glaxo Wellcome, IBM, and Nortel. Mr. Saleh chairs BRAC IT Services Limited, co-chairs BRAC Net, and is on the Board of BRAC Bank, bKash and edotco Bangladesh Ltd. He was selected as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2013. Mr. Saleh holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and an MBA from the Stern School of Business, New York University.
Peter Sandahl is the Head of Climate & Environment and Deputy Head of Group Sustainability at Nordea. He previously served as Head of Sustainability at Nordea Life & Pension, the asset owner arm of Nordea. Peter has had an active role in shaping the global standards for carbon accounting, net-zero alignment and transition planning for financial institutions. He is a board member of Partnership for Carbon Accounting for Financials (PCAF), a member of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) Expert Advisory Group and a member of the Transition Finance taskforce in Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ).
M. Sanjayan is a conservation scientist and chief executive officer of Conservation International, an organization working primarily in the Global South to secure nature for humanity. Sanjayan joined Conservation International in 2014 as Executive Vice President; he was named Chief Executive Officer in 2017. Since his arrival, he has led two landmark capital campaigns totalling $2.7 billion; the development of critical scientific tools, including the irrecoverable carbon atlas; public-private coalition-building for massive forest restoration efforts across the globe; and the launch of a pioneering blue carbon project in Colombia, as well as the multilateral Blue Nature Alliance, which aims to protect 18 million sq. km of ocean over five years. Born in Sri Lanka and raised in West Africa, Sanjayan brings a unique perspective to his work, which has attracted media coverage from The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN, and Outside Magazine.
Megan Saunders is the Director of ESG at KA Real Estate where she is responsible for the overall ESG strategy for Real Estate and consideration of ESG issues in the development and investment process. Prior to joining Kayne Anderson, Saunders spent over 14 years in sustainable real estate, most recently as the Director of Sustainability for Lendlease’s Communities business where she led efforts in environmental and social sustainability strategies for their military housing and privatized Army lodging portfolios. Previous roles included leading sustainability for architecture and engineering firm PBK, as the Executive Director for the Stamford 2030 District, and as a Sustainable Buildings Consultant at Vidaris. Saunders received a Master in City and Regional Planning from Rutgers University, and a B.A. in Sociology from The College of New Jersey. She is a LEED AP BD+C, ND and a Fitwel Ambassador.
Zoe is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Common Trust, and has spent her career as an entrepreneur and investor. Prior, Zoe served as an EIR at Eric Schmidt’s family office, where she designed and led their Shared Ownership investing, and before that was as a Managing Director at Techstars, a global venture capital with a combined portfolio market cap of $63.3B. Zoe led Techstars’ first impact fund and accelerator program, before which she founded and served as CEO of UnLtd USA, an impact investment organization. Zoe began her career in the international development world, working with ex-guerrilla fighters on an organic coffee farm in Guatemala, and later with child laborers and their families in rural Argentina, before transitioning to investing in India. Over Zoe’s career, she has worked with mission-driven founders and investors from seed through growth and exit.
Sapna Shah serves as a Chief Program and Operating Officer at the GIIN. In this role, she focuses primarily on how the GIIN can most effectively use our programs to support our mission of growing the market. She was previously the Strategy Director at the GIIN, and has led the GIIN’s Network Membership as well as an Investors' Council working group on sustainable agriculture investing in sub-Saharan Africa.
Radhika Shroff is a managing director on the Private Equity Impact Team at Nuveen and is responsible for identifying, executing and managing direct private growth equity investments in key thematic impact sectors focused on climate and inclusion in both developed and developing markets. Radhika has over 20 years of experience in impact investing, PE, investment and commercial banking. Prior to joining the firm in January 2020, Radhika was the Deputy Chief Investment Officer of Accion Global Investments. Radhika graduated with a B.S. in Economics and a B.A. in Psychology from The University of Pennsylvania, an M.B.A. from The Wharton School and an M.A. in International Studies, with a concentration in Latin America, from The Lauder Institute.
Stevie Smyth is the CEO of SVX Mexico, an impact investing advisory firm based in Mexico City and Managing Partner of Regenera Ventures. Regenera Ventures is an impact investment fund developed through the Sustainable Landscapes Ventures, a project funded by USAID and implemented by Conservation International. Since 2017, she has led advisory on multiple projects for SVX MX including advising blended finance initiatives for USAID, structuring investment transactions for impact enterprises, supporting the impact investing ecosystem in Colombia, and educating hundreds of funds, banks, angel investors, governments and NGOs on impact investing, blended finance, and gender lens investing. Before her time at SVX MX, Stevie co-developed the impact investing strategy for the Clean Cooking Alliance at the UN Foundation, managing programs such as the Spark Fund, Pilot Innovation Fund, and supporting blended finance initiatives such as the Clean Cooking Working Capital Fund and the Clean Cooking Capacity Building Facility.
Patricia is a General Partner at Seedstars International Ventures (SIV), an early-stage VC fund investing in Asia, Africa, LatAm and MENA. SIV focuses on B2B fintech and commerce solutions that tackle key societal challenges in emerging markets. She has over 15 years of investing and management consulting experience across Asia Pacific and the U.S. Her previous roles include leading growth stage investing for Falcon House Partners, a private equity fund investing in Indonesia consumer space. More recently, she led the portfolio management and value creation functions at AC Ventures, an early-stage VC in Southeast Asia. Earlier in her career, Patricia worked in the private equity arm of Lehman Brothers as well global consulting firms such as Booz Allen Hamilton and L.E.K Consulting. Patricia holds a BA in Economics and International Relations and a M.A in Economic Development from the Fletcher School, Tufts University.
Soren is a serial entrepreneur and co-founder of The Shared Value Company, Lifeline Robotics, Nordic Impact Investing Network (the NIIN) & Home.Earth. He’s an active board member and senior advisor to the Katapult Foundation, The Savory Institute, United Nations and various others. Having worked within global trade, sustainability and international supply chains for 30 years he’s now focused on investing for system change and ecosystem building - amounts other furthering impact investing in the Nordics, building inclusive communities as well as the regeneration of our common land and oceans.
Robert Sturgeon is on the leadership team of OTPP’s Global Investment Strategy department (GIS). In that capacity, he has lead initiatives relating to Latin America, emerging markets, sustainability, climate change among others. He is currently leading the development of Ontario Teachers’ impact investing framework and chairs the cross-asset-class relationship coverage teams for Ontario Teachers’ existing impact investment partnerships. He also sits as an observer on the Board of one of Latin America’s leading dairy companies – a certified B Corp. Prior to joining Ontario Teachers’ Robert spent 17 years investing in private markets investing. Over a nine-year period, he contributed to, and ultimately lead, a team which sourced, executed and managed a portfolio of limited partner commitments in North America, Western Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. Prior to that experience, Robert spent eight years in South America with an impact investment firm providing growth equity in the Andean Region.
Agnes works as Chief Impact Officer at Norrsken VC where she leads on impact strategy and methodology, supporting both the investment team and portfolio companies on any topics relating to impact. With 12 years of experience in impact and sustainability, Agnes led the launch of sustainability and D&I teams at fintech unicorn Klarna, and was formerly Co-CEO and Board Chair/member of nonprofit charities focused on building women's empowerment programmes for rural populations in Eastern Africa and Afghanistan.
Steve Tae, Vice President, Global Business Development for International Institutions, Office of Strategic Growth, supports the International Finance Institutions vertical where he collaborates with multilateral development banks and humanitarian agencies to support financial and digital inclusion programs through resiliency and SME economic growth. Prior to this role, he led the Mastercard City Key platform globally, a payment program designed to help governments unlock greater financial inclusion, community reach and engagement across a variety of segments. He has also led public sector business development for Mastercard Data & Services in North America, and worked at Booz Allen Hamilton, where he helped clients solve their most pressing business challenges involving data and strategy. He received his MBA and MA from the University of Chicago, an MS from Northwestern University and a BA from Indiana University.
Elizabeth Teague (she/her/hers) is an expert working at the intersection of climate change, impact investing, and global development. As Senior Director of Climate Resilience at Root Capital—a nonprofit that invests in small and growing agricultural enterprises to transform rural communities—Elizabeth leads the organization’s strategy to advance urgent climate action in frontline communities.Under her leadership, Root Capital deployed $239 million in climate-aligned financing from 2020-2023 and reached more than 472,000 farmers and employees. Elizabeth joined Root Capital in 2010, and she represents the organization in industry-leading coalitions, such as the ClimateShot Investor Coalition, climate-related working groups of the Global Impacting Investing Network, ANDE, and the Council for Smallholder Agricultural Finance. She is also an alumni adviser for Impact Frontiers. Previously, Elizabeth worked at the Asian Rural Institute in Japan. She is a magna cum laude graduate of Dartmouth College.
Ben Thornley is a recognized leader in impact investing business strategy and originator of market best practices. Since Tideline’s inception in 2014, Ben has advised over 100 institutional asset owners and managers on the design of impact products and platforms with over $300 billion in capital. Among Tideline’s most notable achievements, Ben led the world’s first two verifications against the Operating Principles for Impact Management in 2019, for KKR and Leapfrog. Tideline spun out an independent verification business one year later, BlueMark, which now counts S&P Global among its investors. Prior to co-founding Tideline, Ben led the consulting practice at Pacific Community Ventures, where his team created the Impact Investing Policy Collaborative, a network of investors, researchers and policymakers from over 30 countries. Ben is a co-author of The Impact Investor: Lessons in Leadership and Strategy for Collaborative Capitalism (2014).
Andre Turkienicz brings more than thirteen years of experience in the tech industry to his role as CEO at AgTrace, a blockchain traceability solution that tracks all stages of the food value chain. Prior to founding Ag Trace, Andre led the digital agriculture area of the IBM Research in Brazil, implementing projects in blockchain, artificial intelligence, and IoT. Andre also developed IBM’s research strategy for the agribusiness industry in Brazil, working with cross-functional teams to create a platform-based solution for the agricultural value chain. He holds an MBA from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business.
Rekha is the Global Head of Private Equity Impact Investing and is responsible for executing Nuveen’s private equity impact and climate inclusion strategy. An early visionary, she established the intentional leadership in the impact investing platform for Nuveen. Prior to joining Nuveen in 2012, Rekha was a VP in the institutional investment group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and also held various positions in institutional investments, investment oversight and risk management. Rekha graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Yale University and an M.B.A. with a specialization in Financial Instruments & Markets, Social Innovation and Impact from New York University’s Stern School of Business. She holds the CFA and CIMA designations. Rekha serves on the advisory board of the Operating Principles for Impact Management and is chair of the Global Private Capital Association’s Impact Council. Benoit Valentin joined Temasek International (Europe) Limited in 2014 as a Senior Managing Director. He is currently Deputy Head of EMEA; Global Head of Private Equity Fund Investments and Global Head of Impact Investing. Prior to this, Mr. Valentin was a Partner at Cinven, a European private equity fund, for eight years. He worked for twelve years for Goldman Sachs in Europe and Asia, including as Managing Director for GS Capital Partners, the private equity arm of Goldman Sachs. Earlier positions include Analyst at Clinvest (Credit Lyonnais' mergers & acquisitions arm) and First Lieutenant in the French Navy. Mr. Valentin holds an MSc in Business from HEC Paris (École des Hautes Études Commerciales de Paris), France.

Ritu Verma is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Ankur Capital – an early stage fund that focuses on technology innovations for the next billion. For over a decade before that she played different roles at Philips and Unilever across the globe bringing new innovations to the market. Eszter is the coordinator of Sustainability & Impact Investing, a European independent wealth manager, Van Lanschot Kempen (VLK). VLK's flagship impact products are the Global Impact Pool (2018) and the SDG Farmland Fund (2021). Eszter works on impact measurement and management, social and goverance issues and has faith in humanity. She is Hungarian. Married, mum of two (8,10), occasionally sleep deprived.
Chris Walker is the Deputy Vice President of DFC’s Office of Development Policy, which ensures that DFC’s investments produce positive developmental impacts and are environmentally and socially responsible. Previously, Chris was the Social Innovations Director at Mercy Corps and advised Mercy Corps Ventures, the organization’s impact investment fund. He was also the head of the Innovative Finance Program at the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition, where he built initiatives that attracted investment capital to address malnutrition. Earlier in his career, Chris was a Fellow with Acumen, a non-profit social venture capital fund, and worked on international economic and financial policy issues at the U.S. Treasury Department, the U.S. State Department, and the Millennium Challenge Corporation. Chris is an adjunct professor at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service, where he teaches a graduate course on impact investing. He received an MPA from Princeton University and a BA from Williams College.

She is Lead Independent Advisor to IPSY, a global $1 billion beauty innovation platform, on their sustainability, social impact and self-expression work. Ana is a member of the President’s Council for Ceres, the leading nonprofit working with large companies and institutional investors to advance climate change and water policy. She previously founded Ceres’ West Coast office. Ana spent the first decade of her career on Wall Street in investment banking focused on Latin America, as well as in solar energy investment research. Ana worked at the Skoll Foundation, one of the world’s most innovative foundations, where she led the Innovation Investments program. She has an Economics degree from Duke University and a master’s degree in Development Studies from the London School of Economics. Ana was born and grew up in Honduras and now lives with her family in Barcelona, Spain.
Deputy CEO, BlueOrchard Finance Head of Sustainability and Impact, Schroders Capital Global Head of Impact, Schroders Maria Teresa has covered a number of positions in BlueOrchard since 2008 and now leads the blended finance and impact management team. She leads the Sustainability and Impact team at Schroders Capital, the private assets business of Schroders. As of January 2023, Maria Teresa is responsible for the Impact team at Schroders. Leveraging BlueOrchard's 20 year expertise in impact investing, Schroders has developed a proprietary impact management and measurement framework for its Impact-driven strategies across private and listed assets. Maria Teresa is the convenor of the Advisory Board of the Impact Principles, a member of the Impact Investing Institute Advisory Council, and a Board Director at natcap and Swiss Sustainable Finance. She has over 25 year experience in EM, and worked for EBRD, ADB, and the Overseas Development Institute prior to BlueOrchard.
Dan is the Executive Director of ISF Advisors and has a passion for how we finance the transformation of our global food system towards a more sustainable, resilient, and inclusive model. Based in New York, Dan co-founded ISF Advisors to provide research, strategic, and financial advisory support towards the mobilization of capital for the food and agriculture sector. Over the past two decades, he has worked with leading investors, financial institutions, and development organizations in Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. His work includes framing strategic interventions, managing complex stakeholder partnerships, supporting early stage development of blended finance structures, and mobilizing capital for industry leading initiatives. He previously worked as a strategy consultant specializing in financial services for Dalberg and Booz & Company where he led engagements focused on inclusive financial services, social impact, and organizational transformation.
